Bartle Parade
21:00The parade of Bartle begins at the Kagram (the west end of the village). The parade continues down the village eastwards with an effigy of Bartle. Every few yards they stop and recite the doggerel.
Often (not as much as they'd like) the villagers bring out drinks for those carrying Bartle. Towards the bottom of the village they turn into Grassgill and stop after the houses on the left where they set fire to the effigy. Normal behaviour is to repair to the Fox & Hounds after Bartle goes out.
